I have been teaching at academy level since 2010. At first my own former teacher James Crabb asked me to stand in for him during his year of leave, and after that I continued as a part-time teacher of both accordion main subject and chamber music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music for 12 years.
Today, however, I am the accordion professor at the wonderful Hochschule für Musik, Theatre und Medien Hannover, as well as the accordion tutor of the new music mecca – the Darmstad Summer Course.
Teaching is both wonderfully joyful and wonderfully challenging, and I am grateful for getting the opportunity to share my approach to the accordion as a classical instrument and discuss the art (and meaning) of music making with the students.
If you are curious about studying in Hannover or are looking for private lessons, you are very welcome to get in touch.
