SOMETHING NEW

< Back

The modern full-size, free bass accordion (the “classical accordion”) was not fully developed until the 1960’ies, so the existing stack of actual accordion-repertoire is incredibly small compared to that of e.g. the violin or piano – instruments that have been around for centuries.

Thus collaborating with composers to develop new music, finding new playing techniques and discovering new aspects of the instrument is a natural part of any accordionist’s work – and something I find incredibly exciting.
