Maybe because it is music I really love, the repertoire on my solo debut album seems to have also shown the direction of my work since the release: A mix of contemporary compositions and old transcriptions.
“Conversation of the Muses” includes three of the top 5 of best piece ever written for solo accordion (in my opinion at least) – Sofia Gubaidulina’s “De Profundis”, Bent Sørensen’s “Looking on Darkness” and Luciano Berio’s “Sequenza XIII (chanson)” – transcriptions by Rameau and Mozart and Astor Piazzolla’s tango nuevo classic, “Le Grand Tango”.
The album is online on: Soundcloud – Spotify – iTunes
– and you can get a cd including my personal programme notes from the web-shop.
(As you can judge from the pictures of Asbjørn and me, this video was uploaded quite a few years back, when YouTube had a restriction on the length of videos. That’s why it cut’s off before the ending)
